Kunhamad Koya

Mr. Kunhamad Koya is the Managing Partner of TGS Koya Chartered Accountants, Dubai, U.A.E. ‘TGS Koya’ is an independent member of TGS Global, one of the top 25 International Accountancy Network with 64 member firms operating from 322 offices in 55 countries worldwide. He is also the managing partner of PPKK Associates, Chartered Accountants, Kerala, India.

Mr. Kunhamad Koya is a multifaceted personality with more than 35 years of rich professional experience in audit, accountancy, management consultancy, taxation, company incorporation and business advisory services.

He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and has also qualified in DISA (Information System Audit) by ICAI.

He is also a Registered Auditor under Ministry of Economy, UAE since 2009. Having attained his professional qualifications, he started his own professional practice in his home country. Over a period, he served wide range of clients belonging to various sectors and services. Mr. P.P. Kunhamad Koya is the founder partner of M/s P.P.K.K. & Associates, Chartered Accountants, established in 1988 in India.

Mr. Kunhamad Koya has been actively associated with social and educational activities in his home country. He serves in the leadership positions and as office bearer of renowned educational institutions, social organizations, and professional bodies.

  • He has served as the Chairman of the Calicut Branch of ICAI (1995-1996) and served as the Vice Chairman and Secretary in the preceding years. He has also served as Member of Professional Development Committee of SIRC of ICAI (1996-1997)
  • He has been serving as Office bearer and managing committee member of highly reputed group of Educational Institutions in Kerala. The consortium includes an Autonomous College (featured in the top 100 colleges in India), Teacher’s Training College, Institute of Management Studies, CBSE Schools, State Board Schools and other institutions over the last 25 years.
  • He is also one of the Founder of a CBSE School in his hometown established in 1993 and served as Founder Secretary for 20 years and currently serving as Vice Chairman.
  • He has served as Secretary of Rotary Club of Calicut Central (1999-2000) and was an active member of Calicut Junior Chamber.
  • Served as Secretary of CA Students Association, during his CA course. Mr. Kunhamad Koya is a Member of IBPC Dubai, the Dubai Chapter of ICAI and Founder member of Taxation Society, Dubai.

Binit Shah

Binit Shah has 28+ years of experience in the IT management, provide services as a functional consultant and assuring smooth running of system. He is providing solution to retail, Trading, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Health care, contracting and construction industries. His skill of gap analysis in the software help client to identify and improve efficiency for their organization. After joining the Crowe, Mr. Binit has establish Outsourcing division which help client to mange there back office by their staff on site or off site. His team assist their client to manage records in the system and prepare monthly management report by his qualified team.

Bint’s team are maintaining and managing client VAT record in the software and assuring client by providing TAX Agent services. Software is design under his supervision to manage VAT compliances. They are also review and advise client to manage VAT record in their software system to generate appropriate VAT report.

His key area to assist client Outsourcing, Information Technology, VAT and Asset Audit.

Mithilesh Reddy

Mithilesh has over 15 years of experience in management and consultancy, assisting clients with transfer pricing, structuring, regulatory matters, tax advisory, and litigation. He is a transfer pricing specialist, advising multinational clients on three-tier documentation, transfer pricing litigation support and representations, structuring of complex inter-company transactions, alternate dispute resolutions (including APA, MAP, and Safe Harbour), BEPS advisory, and valuations for arm’s length determination for TP purposes. Mithilesh has worked with a vast clientele engaged in manufacturing, distribution, and services activities across a wide spectrum of industries, including technology, pharma and healthcare, industrial, real estate, financial services, and consumer.

Mithilesh is the Founder and CEO of SBC Tax Consulting LLC, a boutique tax consulting firm providing specialized transfer pricing, structuring, international tax, BEPS, and corporate tax advisory services. SBC’s head office is based in Dubai, catering to the Middle East region and GCC, and also has a presence across India and the US, with a current team of over 250 people.

Previously associated with a Big 4 firm in transfer pricing and international taxation domain, Mithilesh is a key resource person of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for international taxation and transfer pricing matters, and also a special invitee member of the Direct Tax Committee (including International Taxation) of ICAI. Mithilesh has been a regular contributor for various forums and associations by contributing articles, participating and moderating training sessions and webinars on UAE Corporate Tax & Transfer Pricing.

Mithilesh took Transfer Pricing sessions as a guest faculty for Certificate Course on UAE Corporate Tax in Dubai and Abu Dhabi branches of ICAI. Mithilesh also presented on the topic “UAE Transfer Pricing Documentation & Compliances” at the 2nd UAE Corporate Tax Forum at Dubai. Further, Mithilesh was a speaker at the UAE Corporate Tax event held by Taxation Society at Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC), Dubai. Mithilesh has contributed to transfer pricing related chapters of the background material & guidance note on UAE Corporate Tax & Transfer Pricing that is being developed by ICAI for the benefit and guidance of UAE businesses & professionals.

Recently, Mithilesh was awarded the “Times 40 under 40 – Brightest Young Entrepreneur Award 2022″ and was invited by TEDx as a speaker at the TEDx Kalbadevi event in Mumbai.”

Umendra Chaturvedi

Following his graduation in commerce, he embarked on his professional journey in 1997 through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), where he completed his professional training in auditing and taxation over a period of three years. He has since gone on to qualify as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Consultant (CFC), Certified Internal Auditor and LLB. In addition to his professional qualifications, he is also a member of several prominent institutes, including the Institute of Public Accountants in Australia, the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, the Association of International Accountants in the UK.

With his extensive experience and expertise, he specializes in providing internal and external audit services, as well as risk management and accounting ERP system consultancy. Viswanathan Iyer

Vishwanath Iyer is a qualified Chartered Accountant from India. He is an all-India CA Final rank holder. He has over 25 years of professional working experience having worked in India and Middle East.

He has held senior finance leadership roles in various organizations including listed multinational organizations at regional and global level. He possesses rich experience in areas of financial management, fund raising, reporting, legal, tax and compliance matters among others. As part of the overall management team, Vishwanath has been involved in various key decisions relating to organizational strategy and growth.

Notable achievements:

Vishwanath was part of the VAT panel at National Association of Freight and Logistics. NAFL is an association where most of the UAE freight forwarders are registered, and it works as a nodal association for the UAE freight forwarders. As part of the panel, Vishwanath was involved, among others, in educating the members about the importance of VAT and its compliance, understanding the law and its practical application by the members. He has presented on VAT aspects specific to the logistics sector.

Avinash Gupta

He is the fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He did his graduation from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University and awarded the best student of the college. He is also in the merit list of ICAI in CA Final. He is also Law Graduate and completed his LLM in International Taxation from Vienna University, Austria, Europe. He has authored 3 books on International Taxation and Transfer Pricing.

He has been elected to NIRC of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for the period 2019-2022. He was Chairman of Direct Tax Committee of NIRC of ICAI (2019-20). He is President of Tax Research Foundation, an NGO doing research in the field of taxation. He has been nominated as YIN India Representative for a period of 2 years for International Fiscal Association – India Branch (A Netherland based body). He is partner in APT AND CO LLP, Chartered Accountants having head offices at Delhi and 14 branches all over India.

Dilip Jain

Dilip has multi-faceted financial experience over his 20 years of banking career with Kotak Bank, ICICI Bank, Daiwa Capital, Nimai, Vistra, Century Private Wealth in -India, UAE, Qatar and Bahrain. His experience spans from lease and hire purchase, asset securitization, indirect tax planning, credit- mortgages, risk, compliance, anti-money laundering, trade and corporate finance solutions.

He was the compliance officer for DFSA regulated firms (Category 3C and 4) having diverse business in wealth and asset management, payment services, advisory and arranging services.

He is a faculty trainer at ICAI GMCS as well part of Core ICAI VAT trainer faculty. He had led vat lectures on different forums from ICAI Dubai VAT clinic at Indian Consulate in association with Khaleej times, business community. He was also speaker in ICAI Dubai three live webcast on VAT in 2017-18. He was also part of Q n A series on VAT with Khalej times and VAT Quiz, first VAT Games held by ICAI and regularly contributes to VAT brain storming sessions. He has contributed more than 40 articles on vat on his LinkedIn posts. Current implementation on VAT includes sectors like logistics, IT distribution, construction, Oil and Gas, trading, travel and manufacturing, distribution, vacation homes, EPC contractors, watch and jewelry sector, digital media, Designated zone, DMCC companies etc.

He also led knowledge sessions during UAE AML law implementation and has complied books on Customs, VAT, ESR and AML laws.

He lives in Dubai with Wife Neha, Daughter Purvi and Son Nilay. He was also a part of Guinness Record in Bahrain and has been featured in books like “Good Deeds” and “Pearls of Rajasthan”.

Ravindra Agarwal
